What is Teacher Kangie’s™ Teaching Approach?
Teacher Kangie does not follow a fixed “one-method-for-all” teaching plan. Instead, the teaching approach is fully individualised and adaptive, designed to meet each student exactly where they are.
While the teaching materials and curriculum are structured, the way each student is taught depends on their understanding, foundation, and response to learning.
How does Teacher Kangie™ teach each student?
The first step is diagnostic understanding:

-
Past year papers and current work are reviewed
-
Weak topic areas are identified early
-
A starting teaching plan is prepared based on gaps in understanding
The actual teaching direction is adjusted after the first few lessons, based on how the student responds.

Why is the approach not fixed?
Every student learns differently.

Even within the same secondary school level, students may have different foundations. Some may still have gaps in earlier topics such as fractions, algebra, or basic number concepts.

In such cases, teaching is adjusted to first strengthen foundational understanding before moving on to more advanced topics. This ensures students are able to fully understand and apply what they are learning, rather than simply memorising steps.
Why is foundation important?
If a student is missing important basics, those areas are addressed first before advanced topics are introduced.

This is because strong mathematical progress must be built step-by-step—starting from understanding, not memorisation.
Students are guided to rebuild confidence in mathematics by ensuring they fully understand core concepts before progressing to more complex questions.
Do you offer free trial lessons?
No. Teacher Kangie™ does not offer free trial lessons.
Each lesson is a structured teaching session designed to deliver real learning value. Due to limited class sizes, every lesson is conducted with full preparation and commitment.
For new students, the minimum suggested starting point is the Starter Series: a 4-lesson program designed to uncover learning gaps, rebuild confidence, and prepare students for exam success, all in a supportive small-group setting. Click here to learn more.
This ensures students receive a proper assessment and a strong foundation before continuing with regular lessons.

Why is a full month recommended?
One lesson is not enough to accurately assess a student’s learning style or progress.
A minimum period of one month (4–5 lessons) is recommended to properly:
-
Understand the student’s strengths and weaknesses
-
Observe learning patterns and behaviour
-
Adjust teaching methods for best results
This ensures the student receives a fair and meaningful learning experience, rather than a rushed evaluation.
